In
656 m of height, the lake of Viremont stays an exceptional site in spite of the drainages of which it was the object. The swamp occupying the oriental border of the lake constitutes the most important station of Jura with gladiola of swamps on both present in Franche-Comté. It also conceals the ferruginous choin, the gentian pneumonanthe and the grassette. Particularly rich fauna of invertebrates, with 4 sorts of butterflies protected in France which accompanies the cicada of mountains, presents here on one of the only stations of Franche-Comté.
