The lake of Vouglans

35 km long and of an average width of 440 m. This artificial restraint is fed by the river of Ain. With 605 millions of m^3. This stretch of water is the second French artificial restraint behind Serre-Ponçon (1 200 millions of m3). The dam bends in double curvature was built by EDF between 1964 and 1969. Since september 11th 2001, we can't visit the dam and his factory.
